A few days ago, the love of my life told me of an event in a nearby city in Texas called Frisco. At this time of the year, the city puts up an elaborate light show that is in sync with holiday music played on a local radio station. Seeing this show as an awesome photo opportunity, I decided to pick up my camera and go to the event.
As I drove into the Texas town of Frisco, I couldn’t help but gaze in awe at the spectacular display of lights that lit up the night. Such beauty is indescribable and shouldn’t be experienced alone. It should be shared with a loved one; be it a friend, spouse, significant other, or child.
Having lived in the US for a while now I have come to realize that Christmas has lost its meaning. Not to sound like many disgruntled Christians who seem to be on a mission to “Bring Christ back to Christmas,” I seem to be disappointed in the fact that Christmas has been turned into a one month shopping spree.
So how should Christmas season really be? I think it should be a time when we think of others and not in a selfish kind of way. I think it should be a time when we take time to be appreciative of all the good that has happened in our lives. I also think it should be a time to mend broken fences (i.e. kiss and make up).
Ok folks, below are some of the images I took at the Frisco Square. For a more comprehensive slide show of the lighting, please don’t hesitate to click HERE!
